EVISHAGARAN WIND FARM

The 13 turbine, 46.88MW Evishagaran Wind Farm is located in the townlands of Evishagaran and Cruckanim, approximately 5.5km east of Dungiven

Construction began in March 2020 and delivered a capital investment project worth approximately £12.5 million to the Northern Ireland economy during the construction phase, in the form of jobs, employment, and the use of local services. Omagh based Alexander Mills Civils Ltd carried out the main civil works and we also worked with a number of other local contractors.

Now fully operational, the wind farm is capable of producing clean, low carbon electricity for approximately 50,000 homes.

Evishagaran also contributes to the local community through a community fund worth more than £4.5 million. For organisational purposes, a shared fund has been set up with Craiggore, which provides direct funding to a range of groups and is open to applications annually from the surrounding communities.
